Hussan Arshad, Founder & CEO
Hussan is a business advisor with two decades of experience inside large, complex organizations, and current responsibility as an independent director of a public US company. His work spans governance, risk, internal audit, financial and operational performance, and board effectiveness. He rarely engages to address one of these in isolation, because in most organizations the problem in one is a symptom of weakness in another.
Experience
His career includes EY, Stericycle, Bell and DP World, across Canada, USA, the Gulf region and other international markets. His sector experience includes but is not limited to retail, supply chain and logistics, manufacturing, telecommunications, consumer products, industrials and professional services. He has built functions from the ground up, remediated failures, and worked at group level across multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction organizations.
Board experience
Hussan is an Independent Non-Executive Director of The Children's Place (NASDAQ: PLCE), where he chairs the Audit Committee, and also serves on the Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability & Governance (CRS&G) Committee, and the Human Capital & Compensation (HC&C) Committee through a period of strategic transformation. Sitting in that seat changes what he looks for as an advisor: not whether a control, a policy or a plan exists, but whether a board could defend its oversight of it.
